December activity with my cousin and my niece in Pulau Ubin

Hi all! To those who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas & have a happy Boxing Day (26.12.2014). Anyway, this post is to update on the activities that happened in December 2014. For the first time after a few years, this year, I had the opportunity to go to Pulau Ubin with my cousin & my niece.

On Sunday, 7 December 2014, after discussions made, we head down to Changi Jetty, near Changi Village, to board a bumboat to Pulau Ubin, which costs S$2.50 per person. Hence, I let the pictures do the talking.

Then, we arrive at Pulau Ubin, and had a trip to Chek Jawa Wetlands! But, a section of the mangrove boardwalk was closed until January 2015, so we might be going there again next year. Besides that, the time that we set to this island, was during the midday, and the waters were on a high-tide, so can't manage to see the beautiful corals, and also the wildlife of the animals.

We rested at this 'colonial house' before setting our feet to the boardwalk.

Then, we set our feet at the boardwalk. There's even a cemetery on this island.

Head back to the main jetty at the entrance, having a fresh sip of coconut drink with the coconut scrapes before going back to the mainland.

And, that was how we end this trip. By the way,my niece claimed that the boardwalk trip was 'too tiring' so we spent only like an hour or two before going back. It was a good call, as when we arrive back at Changi Jetty, the rain was heading towards our direction. We had to seek shelter at the jetty, before having our lunch at the hawker centre.
