2014M - tahun suka, duka, gembira, dan juga pelbagai cerita yang tersurat dan yang tersirat.

Hi all! This post will be in Malay!

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh!

Permainan 'We Are Singaporeans' musim ke-3 dan juga 'Kita Orang Singapura' musim ke-2.

Sekian, Wasalam!

2014- A year that I will never forget.

Hi all! This is just my personal opinion and also the days that I have encountered in 2014.

2014 sees a lot of perspectives, the happy, the sad & the cheers plus also the joys that all humans went through. 2014 was a year filled with tragedy, taken from the missing airplane of Malaysia Airlines MH 370, plus also the accidental shot of MH 17 that struck the world into a shock in the modern history of aviation. Latest, the crash of QZ 8501, an Airasia flight that was bound to Singapore from Surabaya. These lives, innocent lives are hard to mention, but I believe God has its own plans, to determine why does it happen.

For my life, 2014 has been a good, sad, and also make into history. What was good, is my National Service term from May 2013 - August 2014. For the 8 months that I have been through as a soldier in Nee Soon Camp, it has been ups and downs. Ups for the bonding that I have made with my colleagues, and also establishing a network that I would simply never forget. Downs as sometimes, need to follow protocols and guidelines that every soldier needs to go through. The moment that I would never forget is when my status changed to Operationally Ready Date (ORD) on 22 August 2014. That was the moment when my pink Singapore IC was returned back to me. But, that also embark on my new journey after my Diploma, to find my 'desire' job.

On 22 September 2014, I started my new career path as a temporary administrative assistant at Medical Records Office (MRO), at National University Hospital (NUH). That, honestly speaking, was not my 'desire' job. However, times have changed, so just have to accept it. That was also a contract that was supposed to end by 14 December 2014. But, I have decided to extend my service until 9 January 2015. In between that period, I receive another offer from National Enviromental Agency (NEA) to work as a temporary environmental health officer. That would start soon, as I receive a confirmation call on 31 December 2014, that the job would start in a probably one or two weeks from today.

2014, I made a history, by appearing on local channel, Channel 5 & Suria from Singapore. It was partly a game show that I like to watch, which was 'We Are Singaporeans' season 3 & 'Kita Orang Singapura' season 2. Initially, I was very nervous, as I never see myself on TV before. But, it was just to appreciate and understanding how important the media industry and to know the backstage screens before making an appearance on TV.

I would just wish that 2015 will be a good year for me and the rest of the world. That's all for now.

December activity with my cousin & my niece to Snow City and Zoom Park Asia

Hi all! This is also another activity, after much discussion made between my cousin & myself. Hence, five of us went to Snow City at Jurong East.

Saturday, 20 December 2014.

It was raining heavily outside the Snow City, but as usual, let the pictures do the talking.
This is just outside the chamber before the entrance. As there's no camera phone allowed in the chamber, we decided to buy the printed photos at a discounted price of S$11 per photo if purchased 5 pictures and above. So, the experience was just too exciting. All of us went in to the chamber. We even try to ride down, but my niece 'cannot tahan' the cold as it was -10 to -15 degree Celsius. So, in the end, I was the only one who manage to ride down the chamber.
And, after the successful chamber ride, my brother, my niece & myself 'played' with the ice flakes.

And, my niece also enjoyed her ice slide.
Then, we decided to leave the place, but before that, we manage to capture this.

Then, we went to the Science Centre for a while, but it was beyond 1800h, and most of the attraction places was closed. So we only have these to enjoy.

Then, as my cousin & I was thinking where to go next, suddenly I had an idea to go to Pandan Gardens, which was actually nearby. Thus, we headed to there, by SBS Transit bus service no. 143M and we alighted at 200 Pandan Gardens.

So, what was our next activity? Thus, this would tell you.

Welcome to Zoom Park Asia, the largest trampoline park in Singapore. After that, we head down to Sedap, which was nearby.

That was when we end our trip. Hope you enjoy.

December activity with my cousin and my niece in Pulau Ubin

Hi all! To those who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas & have a happy Boxing Day (26.12.2014). Anyway, this post is to update on the activities that happened in December 2014. For the first time after a few years, this year, I had the opportunity to go to Pulau Ubin with my cousin & my niece.

On Sunday, 7 December 2014, after discussions made, we head down to Changi Jetty, near Changi Village, to board a bumboat to Pulau Ubin, which costs S$2.50 per person. Hence, I let the pictures do the talking.

Then, we arrive at Pulau Ubin, and had a trip to Chek Jawa Wetlands! But, a section of the mangrove boardwalk was closed until January 2015, so we might be going there again next year. Besides that, the time that we set to this island, was during the midday, and the waters were on a high-tide, so can't manage to see the beautiful corals, and also the wildlife of the animals.

We rested at this 'colonial house' before setting our feet to the boardwalk.

Then, we set our feet at the boardwalk. There's even a cemetery on this island.

Head back to the main jetty at the entrance, having a fresh sip of coconut drink with the coconut scrapes before going back to the mainland.

And, that was how we end this trip. By the way,my niece claimed that the boardwalk trip was 'too tiring' so we spent only like an hour or two before going back. It was a good call, as when we arrive back at Changi Jetty, the rain was heading towards our direction. We had to seek shelter at the jetty, before having our lunch at the hawker centre.
