After searching for good deal for the flights and everything, we decided to go when both my brothers are on a school vacation, which happens to be on late September to early October. Hence, this is where we embark on a long distance journey from Singapore all the way to Toronto, Canada.
Unfortunately, there is no direct flight to Canada, I repeat, NO DIRECT FLIGHT!!! So, we decided to make a transit at Hong Kong. Get ready for a week's journey to Toronto & later you will know that we go somewhere for a vivid majestic view!
Day 1: Monday, 28 September 2015
It's a working day, as per usual, but we're preparing to go off from home to the airport. So, here are the pictures to lay off.
Behind the iconic plaque at Terminal 1, Singapore Changi Airport. My mum sending us off.
Taking a flight by Cathay Pacific which connects to HK and the Southwest Pacific region.
And, there you go, our first journey for 4 hours from Singapore to Hong Kong. Of course, at this flight, you can have your meal here, so they served us breakfast, and we spend our time watching movies, as shown below.
I watch this movie, where the main character here was a floating man named Baymax.
At 12 noon (Singapore/HK time) we arrive at Chek Lap Kok International Airport, and, oh boy, we decided to take some pictures at the airport.
Connecting skytrain to the main terminal.
I'm inside the skytrain. Since the transit is from noon and our next flight is only at 5pm, so we decided to go out.
Anyway, I know HK inside out, so I didn't really spam for pictures at HK, but we went to this restaurant, it's halal by the way, and I arrange to meet up with my friend that we didn't meet for 7 years, so it was a wait that prove to be a memorable moment. I lay down more pictures to describe how I feel before, during and after meeting her.
Imagine having your breakfast on flight, and lunch in HK. This meal looks yummy and delicious. This is the restaurant's main specialty, venison on a fried dumpling.
My brother and I, plus my friend whom I didn't meet for 7 years.
We dine here at Ma's Restaurant, 5 Cheung Sha Wan Rd, HK. Alight at Prince Edward MTR, the nearest train from the airport, but need to make changes between different lines.
At a park nearby.
This is their first time taking MTR in HK for my brothers.
And, within 45 minutes, we are already back at the airport.
Our last moments before flying off to Toronto.
Another carrier from Cathay Pacific. The longest flight to sit in, took us about 14 hours from HK.
Depart from HK at around 5pm, passing through Taiwan and engulfing along the Pacific Region, before entering the Canadian side.
As mentioned, entering Taiwan.Dinner on flight.
Dessert.
Breakfast by default.
Sunset view on the American side.
Night time at Canada. Plus, night view from the cabin's wheel looking to Toronto.
Approaching, and this is how the route from Hong Kong-Toronto.
Moon.
And that concludes our trip from Singapore to Toronto, exactly 24 hours. But, it's still a Monday here at Canada, whereas via Singapore/HK time, it's Tuesday morning. Since it's still summer, the time difference of Singapore and Toronto, is 12 hours apart. Currently, it's 13 hours. But wait, there's more, pictures from Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Walking towards the baggage claim, and to chop our passport is roughly 5 minutes.
And we're at Terminal 3, Toronto Pearson International Airport.
A glimpse of the arrival here.
And this is the departure hall.
And, that's our uncle.
Taking a selfie together with my uncle. He decided for us to take the public transport, which was, yes, I love it. So, we took a bus, Kipling route to Kennedy station, and take a subway to Sherbourne Station.
This is the subway, which I talk about earlier.
And, look a train station named after a lady, Jane.
That's all for now. Bye!
