Singapore's best kept treasures, the southern islands!

Hi all! This is my trip to the best kept island's treasures that will make you wonder whether are you still in your own country/ not!

Tuesday, 13 January 2015

Have you ever wonder where is this? If you are thinking that this picture is from another country, you are totally mistaken.

Welcome to St John's Island, Singapore. A perfect getaway to run away from stress, from bustling city life. The journey from Marina South Pier took about 30 minutes, but please do ensure to call them first before making you way here. The information that you are looking for can be available here at this website: http://www.islandcruise.com.sg/

I was welcomed by the wind that will always keep me and calm, and really I felt like I was on a vacation overseas, but actually, it's at your own backyard.

These pictures below will explain my vacation before I continue explore on another island.

Next, this picture will be the gateway to another island.
Welcome to Lazarus Island, connected with St John's Island by just a pathway. Please look forward to the beach, as this is also a perfect place for you to suntan and have your private beach activity, be it alone, within your friends or even best still, with your family.

There's also another island, that is connected via Lazarus Island too. Known as Seringat Island, this island is just like an island that prevent from gusty winds. But, the best part is, this island is a perfect view to see our beautiful Singapore skyline.

After strolling these three islands, I decided to suntan myself at the beach. What's the good catch about the beach is , it is a lagoon with the letter 'C' that was formed between Seringat & Lazarus Islands. It was so magnificent, that I decided after suntan, I walked along the lagoon, swim on both ends.

Since the ferry's schedule is from Marina South Pier, then, to St John's Island, then, to Kusu Island before heading back to the same pier, I decided to take a stroll along Kusu Island. What's so interesting about Kusu Island is, there is a former food court, but now, there's only the remnants of it. There's a Chinese temple and Malay keramat. But, the keramat was a good example of devotees that worship the place, as it introduces the religious harmony that we had preserved and achieved here in Singapore. Here are the pictures of Kusu Island.

So, if you want to make a visit, my tip is to go on weekdays, as there's only about 4 hours to spend on the four islands, that means if you really want to enjoy yourself. Anyway, please look out for this post upon arrival at Marina South Pier.
Till then, see ya!
