The Amazing Race 25 episode 9 (Singapore) - 29 November 2014

Hi all! As usual, the updates of the Amazing race Season 25 episode 9. Yay, finally they are here in Singapore, my country!

Leg 9 (Malta → Singapore)

Airdate: November 28, 2014
At the start of the leg, teams were told that they were next headed to Singapore. Teams were provided a flight from Malta to Paris, and then were tasked with booking their own flights to Singapore from Paris. However, teams were allowed to find another alternate flight if they wished; a new rule instituted this season forbade teams from dropping one flight in favor of another if they found a better booking after purchasing an earlier set of tickets. Upon arrival in Singapore, teams took a bumboat to the island of Pulau Ubin and upon arrival had to find a coconut stand and drink fresh a full coconut's worth of coconut water before receiving their next clue. The clue contained the Fast Forward, which told teams to head to Sentosa's WaveHouse to surf and keep their balance on an artificial wave. If they could both stay on their surfboards for two minutes, they could pass all other tasks and head straight to the Pit Stop. If another team arrived to attempt the Fast Forward, teams would alternate chances at the task until one succeeded.
Teams otherwise had to head to the 57th floor of the Marina Bay Sands hotel to find their next clue: the Roadblock that asked "Who wants to be a funambulist?",leaving teams unaware that "funambulism" was another word for tightrope walking. On team member had to walk on a tightrope between two of the towers of the hotel. Once they crossed to the other tower and picked up their clue, they had to return to their teammate at the original tower before they could continue racing. This clue directed teams to head to the Centre Square of Raffles Place to search for their next clue. Once they found a man with a red and yellow placard on his back for "Onward Singapore", he would give them their next clue: the Detour, a choice between China Cups and Chilli Crabs. In China Cups, teams headed to the Hong San See temple where they had to undergo a session of cupping therapy. After a painful back massage, scraping the skin, and then fire cupping, all of which are said to increase blood flow and remove toxins, teams would receive their next clue from their masseuses. In Chilli Crabs, teams headed to the Red House seafood restaurant at The Quayside where they had to work on Singapore's most popular dish of chilli crab. Teams had to crack open enough crab claws smothered in chilli sauce to collect the crabmeat. Once teams had 2 pounds (0.91 kg), the head chef would give them their next clue.
The clue teams received after the Detour sent them to Fort Canning Park where they found the Double U-Turn point. Teams then picked up their next clue, which told them that they would find their next clue at only one of the five official Merlion monuments throughout Singapore (two at Merlion ParkSentosa, Tourism Court, and Mount Faber). Only the Merlion at Mount Faber had their next clue which told teams to head to the Pit Stop at the Fullerton Pavilion.

Activity day for NUH MRO on Saturday,1 November 2014 at West Coast Park

Hi all! Working in this new environment not related to what I study in polytechnic, makes me feel a little bit jargon at first, but as I try to adapt myself in, things are just getting better! So, Medical Records Office (MRO) at NUH had organize this wonderful event, known as kite flying event at West Coast Park! To me, I have never been there, although, via SBS Transit bus no. 175, passed by there once/twice.

Thus, let the pictures do the talking, shall I? The beginning part.

However, I'll miss certain part, just to show the exciting parts of the event, the kite flying session.

Only the kite that flew the longest was from team 2. However, each and everyone of us really enjoyed ourselves that day. So, to wrap it up, here's the MRO photo/clip!

The Amazing Race Season 25 Episode 8

Hi all! I would just want to continue the updates for this reality show. Anyway, last week, CBS did not release this episode, as the channel makes way for Hollywood Film Awards. So, here's the details.

Leg 8 (Italy → Malta)
Airdate: November 21, 2014
At the start of the leg, teams were informed that they were to head to the island nation of Malta. Upon arrival in its capital city of Valletta, teams had to head to the Bridge Bar. At the bar, they were given a drink order from the bartender consisting of a bottle of liquor and two glasses. They then had to carry the order on a tray up Saint Ursula's staircase to the Upper Barrakka Gardens where a group of the Knights of Malta waited for their order. If either teammate dropped anything from their tray along the way up the steps, they would have to go back down to the Bridge Bar and pick up a broom and dustpan to clean up before the bartender would replace their broken items. Once teams successfully delivered the order to the Knights, they would give them their next clue, instructing them to head to a boathouse at theÅ»urrieq Valley Sea Inlet to pick up their next clue. What they found were a series of Maltese cross necklaces with times for the next morning marked on them, requiring teams to set up camp overnight.
The next morning, teams waited for their next clue, discovering that it was for the Roadblock, asking teams "Who's feeling blue?" One team member had to rappel down into the Blue Grotto, and once in the water swim into the cave to pick up their next clue. They then rejoined their teammates in waiting boats and were taken ashore where they discovered they were to pick up their next clue near the Church of St. Scholastica in Birgu.
Upon arrival, they found the Speed Bump and a Blind Detour, which only gave teams the names of their choices: Flag or Shine. For their Speed Bump, Tim and Te Jay had to find a shield that they had to paint a Maltese cross on. Once they were done, they could go back and perform the Detour. Teams that chose Flag found that they were to participate in the traditional Maltese game of Ä¡ostra, running down a greased log over the harbor to grab flags. Once one team member managed to get a yellow flag and the other got a red flag, they were given their next clue. The teams that chose Shine discovered that instead they were going to polish a set of armor. After each getting a helmet and chestplate down from a wall near the Gate of Provence, teams had to put on the armor pieces and polish each other's armor while wearing it. Once the knights were pleased with their work, they would award them their next clue. The clues teams received directed them to the Pit Stop at Fort Manoel.

My own activity that brings me to Johor Bahru & Kuala Lumpur for November 2014

Hi all! For this entry, I would like to tell you more about the places that I go for this month.

First trip - Saturday, 8 November 2014, Angsana Mall Johor Bahru, Tampoi, Johor Darul Takzim

This is my first trip to Angsana Mall, and I have never been there, although usually I took a bus that will always pass by there, be it for trips around Johor Bahru, or even express buses to Kuala Lumpur. Why did I go there? For TV3's Jomheboh for Johor! So, here are the pictures that I took at the Angsana, starting from the entrance.

Imagine, you get to see the artists that you like, for example, there's Maria Tunku Sabri! Anyway, here's the picture at the Angsana Mall, and I decided to eat at Tesconi's Pizza.

Here's the real situation before I go back to Singapore.

So, that's the jam that I had to endure, but for the buses, they easily give way to them.

Second trip - Sunday, 16 November 2014, Kuala Lumpur twin towers

This was actually a sudden trip, that I did not planned at all. I was thinking of to use a redemption from Airasia, but I was booking one way flight from KL to Singapore via tigerair, but hey, since Airasia have me the opportunity to use it, why just don't I use it! Besides, there's no harm in doing that. Thus, I booked a flight last minutes, to be exact, just a few hours before I fly to KL.

Here are the pictures before the departure.

The good part about this is, I am going at a new place to land in KL, which was at KLIA2. So, the convenience is that I can take an express train directly from KLIA2 to KL Sentral!

Upon arrival, I go to the counter at the twin towers. Apparently, I was very lucky, I arrived there at 1130h, and there's just a slot left for 1200h, and I obtain it! So, here we go, pictures from level 42 & 86 of KL twin towers.

Then, from there I decided to go to the KL tower, using Go Hop KL bus. The best part is it's free! So, here are the pictures at KL tower. Initially, I thought of going up there, but when arrive at the concourse level, I just suddenly feel that I'll be wasting more time there. So, I hope to go back there in 2015.

So, there you have it, the trips for November 2014! Thank you!
