The Amazing Race Season 24 Episode 12 "The Winning Team İs Declared"
As promised. So which team won? Eventually, the verdict is predictable and awesome.
Hi, we meet again. Hence, which team won the Amazing Race this season? Was it Dave & Conner, father-son, parent-child team? Let's see the verdict.
Leg 12 (United Kingdom → United States)
Airdate: May 18, 2014
Leg 12 (United Kingdom → United States)
Airdate: May 18, 2014
- London (London Heathrow Airport) to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (McCarran International Airport)
- North Las Vegas (Desert)
- Las Vegas (MGM Grand Las Vegas)
- Las Vegas (Neon Museum Boneyard)
- Las Vegas (The Mirage)
- Henderson (Maverick Helicopters)
- Las Vegas (Las Vegas Motor Speedway)
In the first Roadblock of the Leg, one team member participated in an illusion with magician David Copperfield. After opening up the box they previously dug up from the desert, retrieving the keys inside, the team member performing the Roadblock was shackled to the inside of a box and once the box was closed, their partner would hand over the keys through a hole in the box. Copperfield then escorted the teammate sitting out the Roadblock to a television monitor to watch their partner attempt the challenge. After the team member inside the box found the right key and unlocked the shackles, they had to retrieve lockpicks from the top of the box, after which the box was lifted off of the ground and lit on fire. Once the racer in the box said that they were complete, the partner, under Copperfield's instruction, set off a series of switches that dropped the box into a burning pile of wood and set off a fiery explosion. Copperfield then informed the partner that they would have to get the fire department's assistance, and the racer in the box would appear wearing a firefighter uniform, completely unharmed. Copperfield would then give them their next clue, after a bit of sleight of hand. In the second Roadblock, the team member who sat out the first Roadblock had to get in a helicopter, wearing a special futuristic jumpsuit, and then search the Las Vegas Strip for a sign (at the Aria Resort and Casino) that told them the name of their drop zone and location of the Finish Line: the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After informing their pilot, they then did a tandem 10,000-foot (3,000 m) freefall into the race track's infield, spewing fireworks along the way, and joined their partner before crossing the Finish Line.
- Additional tasks
- After landing in Las Vegas, teams were chauffeured by a driver in one of three Ford Explorers to an isolated location in the desert. Upon arriving, the chauffeurs simply told the teams to get out of the car and dig. Teams eventually unearthed a box that said "Property of David Copperfield". After retrieving the box, they returned to the car and were driven to the MGM Grand.
- The clue retrieved from the Neon Museum's "bone yard" instructed teams to take a light bulb from a silver and red question mark sign and take it with them to The Mirage.
- At The Mirage, teams were hoisted on a window washing scaffold to one of the hotel's signs atop the tower, where they had to replace all of the light bulbs in the sign's letter "I". Once they replaced all of the bulbs, they had to tell the employees how many bulbs they used (241) in order to receive their next clue.

The Amazing Race Season 24 Episode 11 "Hei Ho Heidi Ho"
As promised, The Amazing Race Season 24 Episode 11, teams head from Seville, Spain to Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Hi! Meet again. As promised, here are the updates for the new season of The Amazing Race 24. As the date draws near to the end, here are the episodes, from episode 9 to 11.
Leg 9 (Italy → Switzerland)
Airdate: April 27, 2014
Leg 9 (Italy → Switzerland)
Airdate: April 27, 2014
- Rome (Roma Termini railway station) to Chiasso, Switzerland (Chiasso railway station)
- Altdorf (Tell Monument)
- Lucerne (Chapel Bridge)
- Lucerne (Hotel Schweizerhof)
- Lucerne (Swiss Museum of Transport)
- Wolfenschiessen (Oberrickenbach)
- Oberrickenbach to Bannalpsee via cable car
- Engelberg to Trübsee via Gondola to Mount Titlis via Rotair gondola
In the Roadblock, teams made a traditional milk delivery by means of Bernese Mountain Dog. After picking a dog, teams guided their dog pulling a cart carrying two empty milk jugs to one of two gondola stations. After unloading the milk jugs and riding the gondola to the top station, teams carried the milk jugs to the dairy farm for that tramway and traded the empties for full jugs. Teams then carried the full jugs back to the gondola and down to their dog, before bringing the dog and full milk jugs to the milk truck for their next clue.
- Additional tasks
- Upon arriving in Chiasso, teams drove themselves in Ford Focuses to Altdorf and waited at the Tell Monument for a William Tell impersonator who would give them their next clue.
- In Lucerne, teams were told to find the oldest wooden bridge in Europe, which directed them to Chapel Bridge.
- At Hotel Schweizerhof, teams had to clean up a room that they were told was trashed by a rock band's party. After picking up a room number at the front desk and changing into cleaning staff outfits, they cleaned the rooms up and then had to set them back up, again, exactly like the example room. If they had anything missing or incorrect, the hotel's gouvernante Helga would only tell them that there is a mistake, leaving them to figure out their mistakes. Once it was set up properly, Helga would give teams their next clue.
- After cleaning up the hotel room, teams had to head to the Swiss Museum of Transport and search the grounds for a marked artifact. Once there, they had to answer a question about the artifact before they were given their next clue, without knowing that it is a massive drill bit for a tunnel boring machine.
- After answering the question, teams had to search the museum for its Ford Mustang exhibit and their next clue.
- Once they found their Mustang, teams had to use the road signs on the museum that told of distances to other Swiss cities and the formula included in their clue to calculate the model year of the Mustang they had chosen. Once they had the correct answer, they showed it to the president of the Swiss Mustang Club who would give them their next clue.
- After the museum, teams drove themselves to Oberrickenbach in Wolfenschiessen and searched for a milk tanker that had their next clue.
Leg 10 (Switzerland → Spain)
Airdate: May 4, 2014
- Zurich (Zurich Airport) to Seville, Spain (San Pablo Airport)
- Seville (La Alameda – Statue of Hercules and Julius Caesar)
- Seville (Melado Peluqueros)
- Seville (Real Alcázar – Patio de las Doncellas)
- Seville (Museo del Baile Flamenco (Spanish) or Calle Lope de Rueda)
- Seville (General Archive of the Indies)
- Seville (Plaza de América (Spanish)) (Unaired)
- Seville (Plaza de España)
In the Roadblock, teams paid homage to the opera The Barber of Seville by becoming a barber in Seville. One team member had to properly apply shaving cream to a balloon and then using a straight razor remove all of the shaving cream within 60 seconds. If they popped the balloon or they ran out of time (after which the judges would pop the balloon), they had to start over. Once successful, the barber would give them their next clue. The Detour was a choice between Spanish Steps and Running with the Ballz. In Spanish Steps, teams had to learn a traditional flamenco routine. Once they were judged to keep up with the professional dancers, they would receive their next clue. In Running with the Ballz, teams wore bumperz designed to look like bulls and ran through the streets of Seville, trying to avoid other bulls, and looking for the motto, "A matador never thinks about his own death", on posters along the way. If they could recite the motto correctly at the end of the course, the mayoral would give them their next clue. For their Speed Bump, Caroline and Jennifer had to deliver six jamónes ibéricos through the streets and alleys of Seville to Las Teresas Café Bar before they could continue racing.
- Additional task
- In an unaired segment, teams had to ride a horse-drawn carriage from General Archive of the Indies to Plaza de América.
Leg 11 (Spain → United Kingdom)
Airdate: May 11, 2014
- Seville (Seville Santa Justa railway station (Spanish)) to Madrid (Aeropuerto T4 Station)
- Madrid (Madrid–Barajas Airport) to London, England , United Kingdom (London Heathrow Airport)
- Liverpool (Anfield Stadium)
- Wrexham County Borough, Wales (Pontcysyllte Aqueduct)
- Tattenhall, England (Bolesworth Estate)
- Peckforton (Peckforton Castle)
In the Roadblock, one team member rode on one of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct's canal boats and worked with a Welsh languageinstructor to learn a verse of the Welsh poem "Y Sipsi!". After the 15-minute boat ride was complete, they recited the poem to a linguist on the other side. If she was pleased with their performance, she would award them their next clue. If not, they had to ride on the aqueduct once more for more practice. The Detour was a choice between Shoot It and Boot It. In Shoot It, teams participated in clay pigeon shooting using a 12-gauge shotgun. Once they hit a total of 16 clay pigeons, they would be given their next clue. In Boot It, teams participated in boot throwing. After picking up either a pair of size-9 or size-11 Wellington boots, they filled them with water and threw them along a course until they reached the finish line. At the end of the course (provided they picked the right size boots), a "Wellie official" would give them their next clue.
- Additional tasks
- After landing in London, teams drove themselves in Ford Focuses to Liverpool's Anfield Stadium. At Anfield, each team member had to score two penalty kicksagainst a professional goalkeeper. Once both racers made two goals, they would receive their next clue.
Thus, the next episode is the season finale. Oh my God, will it be Dave & Conner, to win! Stay tune next week.
